WASTE PAPER
RECYCLING AND
TRADING

We at Glokal conduct sourcing of all paper waste and cardboard and exporting it to paper mills locally and internationally. We buy a variety of wastepaper materials such as old corrugated cartons (OCC), new corrugated cuttings (NCC), sorted white ledger (SWL), over-issued newspaper (OINP), printer's off cut (POC), pure white cutting (PWC), fibre core (core), soft mixed paper (SMP), box board cutting (BBC) and scan-board (white BBC). Our sources are world -wide printing presses, packaging companies and hyper/supermarkets.

Learning the facts about recycling paper will help you as you fulfill your part to keep our environment green. You only need to look around you to see that paper is everywhere and of course, the need for it is essential. If we keep our minds focused on the desire to be friendly to our Earth and her resources, recycling will become important. After a while, we will be in the habit of recycling the paper we use in the course of a given day. Likewise, we will teach our children so that recycling becomes as common and familiar as ABC.

We are a stable company formed by professionals with a combined experience of over 15 years in the wastepaper trade. We are committed to best practice methods and follow all government and industry regulations and precautions. We pride ourselves for exercising stringent quality controls

Paper Waste

The average person consumes about 700 lbs of paper, 90% of the printing/writing paper comes from virgin tree fiber. Conventional paper is also bleached using chlorine or chlorine derivatives, which create dioxins and other toxins and pollutants.

Recycled Paper

Producing recycled paper causes 74 percent less air pollution, 35 percent less water pollution, and creates 5 times the number of jobs than producing paper from trees. It saves old-growth trees, forest eco-systems, native habitat and biodiversity.

Recyclable, Recycled, Pre-Consumer Recycled, Post Consumer Waste Recycled

It is important to be clear about the meaning between the four terms.

image

Recyclable

All paper are recyclable. The "recycling symbol" has very little meaning, as it can be used on items which can be "recycled" but may have zero recycled content.

Recycled

Paper which is designated as "recycled" can be a mixture of virgin wood fiber, pre-consumer waste or post-consumer waste.
